Minnehaha Communion is an Energy Star Congregation!
In an ongoing effort to be good stewards, two requests were offered to the congregation for consideration. First, that we establish an ongoing sustainability committee, and second, that we join the Energy Star congregation's network. The vote was unanimous, and we became an Energy Star congregation.
The network is a public commitment to sustainability, and the most significant implication for the congregation is that we pledge to buy Energy Star equipment and upgrade the energy efficiency of our facilities whenever financially viable.
